Post ID Display

Product: Admin Framework Pro

The Post ID Display module makes it easy to find WordPress post and page IDs directly in the admin list tables. By surfacing IDs inline, it saves time for developers, agencies, and support teams who frequently use IDs in shortcodes, queries, or troubleshooting.

How to use

To enable the Post ID Display module:

  1. Click on the “Admin Tools” category
  2. Search or scroll to locate the Post ID Display module
  3. Click on the switch to enable

What’s next?

This module surfaces the numeric Post ID directly in the Posts/Pages list to speed up referencing IDs for shortcodes, queries, or support tasks.

Where you’ll see it:

  • In the Posts and Pages list tables, the Post ID appears inline with the row actions.

1. Choose Post Types (Pro)

  1. Go to the module settings by clicking the “Settings” tab
  2. Select the post types where Post IDs should display in the list table
  3. Save settings

Notes:

  • Core system types (e.g., Attachments, Revisions, Menu items) are excluded.
  • Only public post types that appear in the admin UI are available for selection.

2. Best Practices

  • Enable for post types your team frequently references by ID
  • Keep disabled for content types where IDs are rarely needed

3. Troubleshooting

  • ID not visible:
    • Ensure the module is enabled
    • Confirm the current post type is enabled in settings (Pro)
    • Check that you’re viewing the standard list table for that post type
  • Seeing IDs for unexpected types:
    • Review the selected post types in settings and deselect as needed

4. Compatibility & Notes

  • Works with standard WordPress list tables
  • Adds an “ID: {number}” marker to the row actions for supported post types
