User Enumeration
Product: Admin Framework Pro
Secures against hackers scanning for usernames, blocking user enumeration attempts.
How to use
To enable the User Enumeration Module:
- Click on the “Security” category
- Search or scroll to locate the User Enumeration Module
- Click on the switch to enable
What’s next?
This module helps protect your WordPress site from user enumeration attacks, where attackers try to discover usernames by exploiting how WordPress handles author archives and user IDs.
Once enabled, the module will:
- Block access to author archive pages (e.g.,
/?author=1) - Redirect any user enumeration attempts to your site’s homepage
- Help prevent unauthorized users from discovering valid usernames
The protection is active immediately after enabling the module, with no additional configuration needed. This is a simple but effective security measure that helps protect your site from brute force and targeted login attempts.
