User Last Login
Product: Admin Framework Pro
The User Last Login module lets you easily track the most recent login time of your WordPress users. Once enabled, it adds a “Last Login” column to the Users table and records each successful login. This makes it simple to audit user activity, identify inactive accounts, and strengthen site security—all without installing extra plugins.
Getting Started
To enable the User Last Login module:
- Click on the “Security & Privacy” category
- Search or scroll to locate the User Last Login module
- Click on the switch to enable
Once enabled, the last login time is recorded on successful login and shown in the Users table.
What’s next?
This module adds a “Last Login” column to Users > All Users and records each user’s most recent login time. You can choose how the timestamp is displayed.
Where it applies:
- Admin: Users list table column “Last Login”
- Login events: Captured on successful login
1. Configure display format
- Open the module’s “User Last Login” tab
- Options:
- Format:
- WordPress Date/Time
- WordPress Date
- Relative Time (e.g., “2 hours ago”)
- Custom (enter a PHP date format)
- Custom Format:
- Only appears when Format = Custom
- Uses standard WordPress/PHP date formatting
- Format:
- Save settings
Notes:
- The column shows “Never” for users who have not logged in since enabling the module.
- WordPress date and time format options are taken from your site settings.
Best Practices
- Use “Relative Time” for at-a-glance recency when managing many users
- Use “WordPress Date/Time” for a precise, locale-aware timestamp
- If you need a specific format, select “Custom” and enter a standard format string (e.g., Y-m-d H:i)
Troubleshooting
- Column not visible:
- Ensure the module is enabled
- In Users > Screen Options, confirm “Last Login” is checked
- Always shows “Never”:
- The user has not logged in since the module was enabled, or the login was not successful
- Wrong timezone or format:
- Verify Settings > General > Timezone, Date Format, and Time Format
- If using Custom, confirm you entered a valid format string
Compatibility & Notes
- Works with the standard WordPress login flow
- Records upon successful login; failed attempts are not recorded
- Respects your site’s date/time settings (for non-custom formats)
This module is perfect for:
- Auditing recent user activity
- Identifying inactive users
- Quickly viewing last login status without extra plugins
